Preparation instructions (according to the original label)
- Put one medium spoon of tea into 2 dl of water.
- Boil the tea for no more than 1 minute.
- Let it stand for 10 minutes, covered.
- Drink 3 × 2 dl daily, 15 minutes after meals.
About the monastery and Herbal Pharmacy “Karmela”
The monastery was founded in 1888 in Mittel-Windthorst (today Nova Topola), a German colony on the road between Bosanska Gradiška and Banja Luka.
After World War II, the school was banned and the sisters continued their life and work in the monastery, becoming widely known for collecting and preparing herbal teas and remedies.
The monastery was restored several times and returned to the sisters in 2002 after years of devastation.
Since 16 October 2002, the sisters have continued their tradition through the Herbal Pharmacy “Karmela”, promoting reconciliation and openness to all people.
The monastery chapel is dedicated to the Holy Family. Today, the sisters welcome all well-intentioned visitors.
